Day 362 (New Orleans)

It took lots of driving, but we finally made it to the Big Easy.

I had a bowl of crawfish etouffee along the banks of the Mississippi River for dinner.

After a little bit of walking we discovered Bourbon Street.

This place is completely nuts! Las Vegas has NOTHING on New Orleans! If you wanna party, this is totally the place to be. People are milling about everywhere, lots of them drunk, even more of them walking around with drinks in their hands, and the beads are flying. It's not even Mardis Gras! I can't even imagine what this place looks like at that time of year, and I'm pretty sure I don't want to be around for it. Drunk people kind of freak me out. Still, my mom and I had a good time people watching and looking at the unique architecture and ambiance of the city. Also, the art here is incredible!

PICTURE OF THE DAY: Just like Vegas.

  1. OMG! The first photo totally looks like The Haunted Mansion! So cool...I'm jealous. :)

  2. Yeah, I'm pretty sure the French Quarter in Disneyland is based on the actual French Quarter here. This really is a Disneyland for adults, much more so, I think, than Vegas.
