Gay Guy in Seminary Day 151 (Proposition 8)
Proposition 8 is making its way through the court system right now. At the risk of seeming lazy, I am going to once again direct you to an article written by someone more knowledgeable on the topic than I.

I think they should bring up the parallels between the battles for african-american civil rights. That really moves me, but I suppose it would affect others differently. They have some very smart lawyers on the case, so hopefully they will be able to make some head way. Hopefully it is just a matter of time.
ReplyDeleteI was watching a Youtube video made in response to some of the comments made in the trial. This guy was reading off a list of some of the discrimination that gays have had to face recently. I almost started crying when he got to the parts where people couldn't be with their partners in the hospital as they were dying because the hospital refused to recognize their relationships. There was also a gay couple that couldn't be with their adopted daughter who was in the hospital. It makes me sick just thinking about it.
